First time here, and let me just say the best customer service I have ever received in Boca Raton ! Food was amazing, for the price, it sure was worth it. Make sure to ask for Maria as your server, she is absolutely wonderful and made the dining experience one to always remember. I have always heard great things about The Melting Pot, and I sure will keep passing on the good word !!

I made a reservation at 9, arrived at 8:50 and wasn't seated until 9:30. The food you cook yourself, so there's no comment on that. I'm giving three stars for the service and the helpfulness of the hostess- she was very boring and didn't offer us to sit and wait. Just that our table would be ready in a few minutes and we waited 40 minutes. I did not like our waitress, last time. Her name was Jen, I believe. She had an attitude. But most of the other times I get a nice waitress.

A novelty restaurant where a single visit is enough for me. I went to Melting Pot on a Sunday evening with my family; the place was moderately full, and we were seated after a minute wait. My number one suggestion here would be stick to to cheese and dessert courses; skip the salads and meats, and the four-course meal. The cheeses and desserts are simple, and good; cheeses are savory, and the desserts are sweet. The salads are sub-par, and the main courses are pretty flavorless, not to mention uber-expensive for what you are getting. I had the four-course meal which came with a cheese fondu, salad, meat fondu (beef, chicken, shrimp, ravioli), and finally a dessert fondu. We tried both the Cheddar Cheese fondu, and the Spinach Artichoke fondu. The cheddar cheese was my favorite, and had a good salty flavor. The Spinach Artichoke fondu came with tortilla chips, and was basically like the dip, but in a liquid form. Both portion sizes were upsettingly small; I wished they gave us more, especially for what we paid. The Caesar salad I wasn't a big fan of, mainly the pine nuts added a strange flavor to it. For the main course, we got to try a variety of different meats. The teriyaki steak was the best meat on the plate, all the others were pretty devoid of any flavor. Portion size incredibly small of the fondu, and the items they give you are very basic. Cut up bread, broccoli, apples, grapes, nachos (for the artichoke fondu). Nothing really unique to dip into the fondu, and nothing really high end either. The Original is what we got for dessert, which was a nice chocolate ending for the meal. It was sweet, and the peanut butter mixed in added a nice bit of crunch. I cannot stress enough about how terrible the pricing is. Because fondu is such a unique way to eat food and not too many other restaurants have it, that really makes Melting Pot a niche locale to come to for it. In turn, they can really charge whatever; and my guess is that their profit margins are through the roof. Price-wise, I think for what you get this is an awful deal. I don't find the food quality good, and the portion sizes are tiny. You are basically paying for the fondu experience, but that is it. On a positive note, the service here was very good. We were seated quickly, and our waitress was very patient with us. Waitress was friendly, and walked us through each part of the meal. Our water wasn't refilled that often is my only major qualm with the service. Note; this place doesn't seem to be handicap friendly as to get in the restaurant you have to walk up a few steps. If I were to come back, I'd just stick to the cheese fondu, and then a dessert fondu. The quality on those is better than the rest of the food choices, and probably a bit better for your wallet. If you just want the fondu experience, not matter what it costs, this place is probably a good location. Honestly this isn't a restaurant I have very much interest in coming back to. Food (D+), Pricing (F), Experience/Atmosphere (B+), Service (B+)

What a great night..they dedicated Our Menu Because ...I had the iguana lady with us!! Wendy is our server. They made the menus for evening with an iguana theme. Because it was my birthday they also gave me three beautiful pink roses a birthday card and a box of chocolate dipped strawberries. we are a party of four we all ordered a salad )I always loved the mushroom one and they call it the old school mushroom and even though its no longer on the menu they made it for me!!), we also ordered a lobster tail and had the Coq au Vin for the cooking broth which had mushrooms and Marsala wine i think it was Marsala ..it also had garlic in it ..it was delicious and made the meats taste fantastic.. The meat we had was filet chicken shrimp lobster beef teriyaki and spinach ravioli. We started with the 3 cheese fondue and it was so delicious with the bread veggies and green apples..I could eat that all day long... What a great night. Chris the manager really went out of his way for us!! He stopped by to make sure thing we're great..they were. They even took a pic for their facebook page of us!! So sweet!! We finished it all off with the traditional chocolate fondue and a triple chocolate martini for marian and an espresso tini for me. We had great drinks like the Ying yang martini and you know I had my stellas!! From the minute we walked in through the entire meal and dessert we were treated so good with our themed menus and themed items on the table which were a little plastic iguanas all over it really made the night something special. I want to give a special thank you to Chris the manager who really outdid himself and to bill who originally took my order and made sure the menus we're done to perfection for our table only(they actually did that themselves all i said was the iguana lady was coming with me and her daughter). The birthday card the roses and chocolate covered strawberries were such a beautiful touch I really cannot thank Melting Pot enough for treating us so well. We actually came in for their special of the evening it is a theme night called sundresses and sandals and the meal is 26.95 all inclusive they went way beyond that for us. I highly recommend melting pot Boca Raton when you want that special occasion because they do it extra special just for you. Thanks so much again!! I love the melting pot!!!

This was my first time back here after a Yelp event I attended a few months ago. The experience was outstanding! I took my wife for date night and it could not have been better. When we arrived, we were seated in a booth with curtains that closed, which makes dinner 10x more romantic. We actually got the same waitress that was with us at the Yelp event, Amanda! She is super cool and knowledgeable, and fun. For the cheese course we had the Quattro Formaggio and it was amazing. Then for the entree we went with the Coq Au Vin cooking style along with some chicken, filet mignon, salmon, and tuna. You can ask for variety plates if you prefer more than just one meat (but I wouldn't recommend the chicken, next time I'll go for something more unusual). Lastly (to my wife's delight) we had the milk chocolate and wild berry for dessert which was unbelievably delicious. The highlight of the experience, however, came when it was time to pay. We had a special coupon from the Yelp event that I was going to use. However, a manager (Brian; cool dude) came to our table and returned the coupon but still honored the discount! He said to keep it for next time! That to me is top notch service. We will definitely come back for special occasions and sometimes just for dessert! Props to Chris & Brian (managers) for being so accommodating, and Amanda for being an awesome waitress!

The service was excellent. The amount of info they have to remember is amazing! The cheese fondue appetizer is so good but you have to eat it fast or it hardens. Food orgasm though. The entree we had WA s steak and the soup base was coq au Vin. Soup base was a bit salty and heavy. The meat cooked well in it. The desert was just to die for. I'd go here just to order desert. Decadent.

This place was incredible. The Quattro Formaggio was killer. My friend and I also tried this cooking style with red wine I can't remember the name of but it was divine. The duck and filet mignon melt in your mouth. The mushroom sachetti are also really good. And I recommend the cookies and cream fondue pot for dessert. Jenn was our server and she was fantastic. I'm looking forward to going again soon!

Best place for special occasions or if you just want to splurge one night! We did the 4 course meal for a couple and were blown away by the whole experience. Our waiter was great and very informative as well which made everything even better. The drinks were delicious, I had the white sangria and also the love martini very sweet but mmmmm. The Alpine cheese fondue was absolutely delicious and a great way to start the meal. The house salad I could do without it is quite chinzy for what it is. We did the fondue feast so we had chicken, filet, lobster, shrimp, etc. All great and that green goddess sauce is to die for!! We ended with the bananas foster dessert fondue and it was so flavorful and we could barely move getting out of there. Talk about food coma! Can't wait to go back and just do a cheese and chocolate meal!

I've been going to the melting pot for special occasions since I was a young piglet roaming the hallways of Boca Raton's del prado elementary... "Douglas do you know what fondue us?" My mother would say, "No! I'm 8!" I would retort, returning to my new found glory cd collection in a prepubescent audio daze. Halfway through Nothing Gold Can Stay, it hit me like a ton of bricks..."I must.have.fondue." So when my birthday rolled around..we went. To say I remember what I had when I was a young suckling pig of 8 years old would be a lie..to say I remember what I had tonight for my 25th birthday with my parents...would be the truth! (Trough) First off, this meal was a slam dunk because of our amazing server Lawrence. He got right down to business and didn't waste a minute explaining us the Moby Dick-like menu of the melting pot (people like their fondue all sorts of ways). He turned that menu from Moby Dick...into Pat the Bunny! Before you know it, I'm crushing cheesy bread and nailing lobster tails in Coque Au Vin broth like my name was Mario Batali Andretti. Lawrence explained the sauces to us with the ease of Barack Obama and next thing you know I'm in a food coma of epic proportions. Epicurean bliss indeed, One more notable accolade: our Pre-Dinner bartender Chris was knowledgeable and congenial. He made a great espresso martini and served us some delicious cake shots (I know) that my parents and I enjoyed TOO much. Alright, that's enough bs from lil Dougie Widick. This Melting Pot gets 5/5 fondue forks and 10/10 captain Ahabs for Lawrence for being about the best server we could've imagined on my special 1/4 of my life night!!

I've come here a handful of times, and we always leave stuffed, happy, and slipping into the initial stages of food coma. I've done their monthly Girls Night Out events several times--once we had a guy in a group for GNO, and the waiter happily dubbed him an "honorary lady in red" for the evening. Went here for a birthday date and they gave us a cute booth with a curtain so we could eat in privacy. There's a delicate balance to be had there because I know our waiter wanted to check in on us to make sure we didn't need anything, at the same time it's awkward to be having a private moment and suddenly someone's head pops through the curtain. I got a picture momento and a box of chocolate covered strawberries for my birthday visit too :) I've tried a few of their cocktails and they're always delicious. I love their spinach and artichoke cheese fondue, but I'm not a fan of swiss (but swiss in general is a sketchy cheese...all those holes and yet it doesn't collapse upon itself). I SO want to try the bacon and brie, so I hope that comes back in season...whenever I saw it on the menu, I was there with people who preferred boring cheeses (not hating on plain cheddar, but it's just so...plain!). I absolutely love mushrooms and the servers are usually happy to bring extra mushrooms to the table :D I haven't had a chocolate course that I didn't like. Flaming turtle is one of my favorites just because they set it on fire, leaving me rather entranced. One time we couldn't decide between cookies and cream and the turtle, so we ended up getting the cookies and cream using dark chocolate, with a helping of candied pecans on the side. Oh and did I mention they have delicious pine nuts encrusted in some sweet concoction on their caesar salads? Yeah...this place is a sure way to break any diet you've been trying to adhere to.

The service was excellent. Everyone who works there is super helpful and cool. We did the 4 course meal. The cheese was really tasty with the bread and veggies, salad wasn't really necessary, meat gets dry easy and didn't have much flavor except for the teriyaki which did. Desert was yum! They bring extra of whatever you want if you ask. All in all it was fun and filling. Would go again.

Amazing time at Melting Pot on Saturday. This was my 2nd time ever to a Melting Pot and it was as fun & delicious as I remember. The service was top notch and the interior of the restaurant is very original. All, in all... a fun Saturday spent with great people! A+++

We choose Melting Pot for a couple of reasons: 1/since it was my lady Birthday, 2/they were able to provide a booth for two, with a curtain that could be closed. 3/ There choice of menu items were varied and we could not go wrong with any selection. 4/Our server was helpful with the menu and showed up several time during our meal to ensure that we were enjoying it. 5/ From the cheese to desert there something special and romantic about enjoying your food fondue style. We will go back for special occasions.

I am a fondue fan, and every time I can find an excuse to splurge, I do exactly that...Saddens me that it's not as often as I'd like! Although the Melting Pot is a chain...it is an upper scale one at that. Yes, expect to shell out a bit more for this type of event. Another thing to keep in mind. Go with a group of friends...fondue takes time, and you may want to have a decent group to keep the conversation going. And by that, I mean close friends...last thing you need is to have a group with nothing in common. Ok...now onto the fun part. My favorite is still the cheese fondue. They give you bread...they give you apples. Whatever you use, it will still be delicious. The meat fondues gives you options of meats. Filet is always a winner. But save room for dessert, if you are into chocolate covered angel cakes and fruits. What is my favorite of all time you ask? The Chocolate martini. Made with Godiva Chocolates. Looks like a Ying Yang piece of art with both white and dark chocolates. Tastes like milk shake...and after that fourth one, you may need a glass of water!

I love the melting pot, assuming you get a waiter that doesn't stiff you on the cheese. The food is excellent and so is the service 90% of the time. When you go, if you enjoy your waiter remember there name and request them the next time. Some waiters are great and others.. not so much. The food is fantastic. I really enjoy going there! Sign up for there club to recieve special offers.

I've been to a few Melting Pot locations, and this location is my favorite in terms of ambience. We were there last week, Gaby was our server, and she was great. Yes, it's expensive, as everyone has pointed out, so go for the experience and ambience, not to save a few bucks. We had the four-course meal, and I think next time we will just go for the cheese, dessert, and a drink or two. It was a very nice experience, and we didn't feel at all rushed.

wow, talk about superb service! this restaurant is customer service at it's best!! i came here for new years eve with my fiance and my friend and her boyfriend. from the moment we walked in the restaurant, we were treated exceptional. we requested 2 table burners because my friend is vegetarian and thats exactly what we had. the server was extremely attentive to our table with many servers checking on us. the food was delish and desert was impeccable!! to top off the night, the manager came over to our table to take a group picture and then gave us a goody bag with a $25 coupon to come back and a bottle of bubbly. great experience!!! highly reccomend this establishment

I am surprised that people rave about this place; it is a relic from the past with food to match. Three of us had the 4 course meal starting with a cheese fondue. We chose the Cheddar which the waiter recommended. It came with stale bread cubes, a small ramekin of some grapes and apple chunks, and another with raw veggies. Very bland. Next came our salads. We all actually enjoyed these - I had the California, as follows: Mixed baby greens, tomatoes, candied pecans and Gorgonzola cheese with Raspberry Black Walnut Vinaigrette. My dad enjoyed his Caesar and his girlfriend her Melting Pot House Salad, but after that it was downhill again. For the main course, we chose something that had shrimp, chicken, terriaki steak and some other sliced red meats, along with a lobster tail. We picked the bullion to fondue in as we thought it would be the most neutral to the flavours of the meats. Most of the meats were on the tough side and the lobster, unfortunately, literally had no flavour at all - I didn't even know I was eating lobster by the taste. Maybe that was the fault of the bullion? I will say there was plenty of meat - it was just completely unexciting and much of it tough. Oh, we also received a small ramekin of some broccoli florets, a few sliced potatoes which took forever to cook (they should change them for something that doesn't) and some mushrooms. On to the finale of the dark chocolate fondue, which was never warmer than lukewarm - the chocolate was actually soildifying on its way to our mouths. Also, on a personal preference level, they had things like rice krispy treats on the platter of things to dip, which are very unappealing to me. I would have preferred all fruit. They served ONE chunk of pineapple, 3 or 4 banana slices, a small ramekin of cut strawberries, brownie chunks, blondie chunks, some kind of cake chunks, and marshmallows. Again, the chocolate was really way too cool. The service was pleasant (except the hostess who was on the phone when we entered and who never actually greeted us though she did manage to get us to our seats). Will NOT be coming back.

We come to the melting pot not only because of the experience and amazing food but because of our waiter Lawrence! We recently went to celebrate our son's 14th birthday and could not have had a better time thanks to Lawrence. The details he has when tending to his guests is impeccable. When we got there we had balloons on the table and he made all of us feel so special. It was my mom's first time there so he made sure to walk her through the process. He made us laugh, he took pictures, he took a selfie with us, and made recommendations on what to order that were perfect. We've been there before once or twice with him not being our waiter and the experience does not compare. We will be sure to return often but will certainly be sure to always request him as our waiter. Thanks Lawrence for making this another night to remember!!!

My girlfriends and I love going to the melting pot once a month for ladies night, we've been doing it for over a year now. Whenever we go it has great atmosphere and the staff and managment are always wonderful at providing attentive service and having reserved tables ready within a timely manner of your reservation slot.

My son and I went to the Melting Pot last night for dinner. This restaurant does more things right than most restaurants that I have been to. The manager, Bryan, was friendly and accommodating. He has been the manager there for over 20 years and his friendliness has been passed down to all of his people. The waiters were fantastic, friendly and informative. The food was great. We loved the cheese fondue made with cheddar cheese. The salads were excellent. We had the California salad, which I loved and the Caesar, which my son thought was great. The meal consisted of filet mignon, chicken and shrimp to cook and also included veggies and a whole array of really great sauces. The dessert was the flaming turtle chocolate fondue. We had a bunch of sweet treats to dunk into the chocolate and caramel concoction....marshmallows, bananas, brownies, strawberries, etc. We had a great time and the staff there could not be nicer, friendlier and more accommodating. I recommend it very highly for a fun and special night out.

I would give this more stars if I could we loved it so much. As tourists we were excited to try something different and we were more then satisfied with our experience. Our server, Lawrence was out of this world and all my boyfriend could say was "he was the best server I've ever had, anywhere" he was so attentive and had a great personality. Our food was delicious and it was a great "date night" place. Even on our way out we got coupons and even chocolate covered strawberries! I wish I lived here so I could come more often but twice a year will have to do.

So unimpressed. We went for the double couples special. We were very excited for a night of fondue and great company. From the second we sat down we were unimpressed with our waiter. We understand busy nights and many tables. We never felt that he was anything other than busy. We didn't feel that he made us feel welcomed nor that he was interested in our melting pot experience. It was very transactional and lacking. As the night wore on I felt that he became more uninterested with the table and there are just certain things that were never done that we expected should be done during the course of dinner. We didn't feel that the instructions were explicit. We were simply told to dump everything in for two minutes, don't eat from the fork you dipped with and he ran off. Luckily our friend had been a melting pot regular and led us through. But by the time that the entree came he basically just dropped it on the table and went about his business. I was totally over the experience. My friends did want dessert so I hung out and had dessert. We spoke with the manager and expressed our concerns and he did offer to take care of us in the future. But there was nothing about this experience that makes me want to return and makes me want to spend another three hours of my life cooking my own food in a restaurant. I will be the first to admit that fondue just wasn't for me. I cook plenty at home and going to a restaurant to cook is not my idea of fun. I did enjoy the cheese course and I did enjoy the dessert course. I would have enjoyed more directions with the entree. At the end of the day we got a broth and wine base liquid and really all fondue is to me is boiling. At no point in my life do I go into my kitchen and boil chicken nor do I take a piece of filet and boil it. That's all that it was, boiled meat. ( my poor review for this experience is not based off me not enjoying fondue within itself. I am aware that it was just not my favorite thing and that is not why I have given this place 2 stars. I am giving it two stars because of the lack of service. It seems that the majority of the positive reviews on this website are because people have servers that they see frequently. I would be willing to return to an establishment whose food is just mediocre if I have stellar service. That was not the case with this restaurant) If friends of mine wanted to return for dessert after we dined elsewhere that is fine. But I am not interested in spending that amount of money nor time at The Melting Pot. I do appreciate the manager trying to take care of us in the future but our experience with the waiter and his hurried busied demeanor really soured my experience and I do not think I will ever return Pros: Lovely atmosphere Decent Margarita Great dinner special Chocolate fondue. We came here last night for a friend's birthday dinner and the experience was impeccable again. I called the owner and left him a message that we were coming. The restaurant provided our group with two bottles of complimentary champagne just to say thank you for my review. It's nice to go with a group of people since you can taste different fondues for a reasonable price. Our waiter was outstanding with taking care of us and all of us enjoyed our fondue experience. So, thank you again for exceeding our expectations and looking forward to next time!

My husband asked me where I wanted to go for my 30th birthday dinner this year and it was without hesitation that I said The Melting Pot! He called and spoke with a manager to get all of the details on making a reservation for a larger table. They were able to accommodate our party with no problems. At many restaurants service is compromised with a larger party, but that was not the case at The Melting Pot in Boca. Our server had a great personality and was very attentive to our needs. Our meal was wonderful and we all left incredibly full and happy. I highly recommend celebrating a special occasion at The Melting Pot, or just making "life" the special occasion and treating yourself to a delicious night out!

I have been to Coral Springs location and Miami location in the past. Now that I moved north, this is the closet Melting Pot to home. When you walk in, you will see the bar in front of you. I went the bar, while I was waiting for my sister to meet me. I was chatting with the bartender, and he was making me one of his special drinks. He was nice, and the drink was awesome. My sister arrives, and we get seated. This restaurant does cater to vegetarians. I recommend if you are a vegetarian, don't go with a meat eater. Unless, if you call ahead to reserve a table with two burners it would be easier. I always start with a salad then on to the cheese, entree and chocolate (of course!). They have a vegetarian platter, which is amazing. If there is something on there you would rather have more of or substitute something, they will do it. The raviolis are my favorite (they keep getting smaller each time I come--eek). Then there is the chocolate! As a vegetarian, I don't eat gelatin. They give you marshmallows as one of the dippers for the dessert. Just ask for extra brownie or something else. You can always ask to leave it out. My favorite desert was the crème brulee. That is seasonal. That was out-of-this-world AMAZING! If you ever come here and they are offering that desert, do not hesitate to order! *Note: always ask for the garlic and wine seasoning. OMG good! No, seriously it is. I literally put it on everything -- except dessert.

Been coming to this location since the early 90's! Nothing compares to it. The waitstaff are always professional, knowledgeable and most important; friendly! Absolutely love taking my kids here for a special treat and even better taking the wife for a special evening! We love cooking in Coq a Vin style and of course the cheese course is to die for

I've been here a few times in the past. I was just here for mothers day. I started off with the mama's love martini which was a blend of rum, strawberries and something else but it tasted like a mildly alcoholic strawberry milkshake. Really really good! I would go back just for this drink. For the cheese course we had the spinach artichoke cheese fondue. We all really enjoyed it. For the salad course I had the California Gorgonzola walnut salad with raspberry dressing. It was on the sweet side but delicious. The family got the Caesar salad which didn't have too much dressing on it. For the main course we had lobster, shrimp, chicken, teriyaki sirloin, filet mignon, ravioli, mushrooms, broccoli and potatoes to cook in a broth fondue. It came with 5 different dipping sauces. For dessert we picked the cookies n cream marshmallow dream fondue which is a dark chocolate swirled with marshmallow cream where the marshmallow cream was flambeed table side. Delicious! Our waiter was knowledgeable and very helpful. I got a bouquet of half dozen red roses on the way out. Very nice.

I've been going to The Melting Pot for years and most recently the other location in Fort Lauderdale. After dining at the Boca location, I will NEVER go to another one again. This experience was absolutely flawless. I received quite possibly the BEST service, I have ever received at any restaurant. Period. Service was friendly, attentive and not overbearing. Extra bread, fruit, vegetables, sauces were brought automatically without ever having to ask. I enjoyed a great bottle of Stags Leap and when that was gone, the manager came over with the wine list and tastings of other wines to help me decide on my next bottle. 5 Star for sure. The food was great, the setting was great, they kept our curtains closed for extra privacy. I could keep on and on about how great this location is, but I think you get the point!

What a great experience !!! This was my first time attending The Melting Pot which it's atmosphere is laid back and romantic all in one. The service was magnificent thanks to our waiter Lawrence in which he was very patient with us and went into depth about his personal favorites and recommendations. Definitely a great place to celebrate Special occasions...

One of our daughter's favorites places. We tend to go here with coupon in hand because, for the life of me, we're not entirely sure why it's so expensive. The ambience? The decor? The service? They're all great - certainly a cool place for family and probably better for romantic dinners - but since you're doing all the work, it baffles me why when you're cooking, you're paying so much. Probably the experience. Probably the uniqueness. Probably why we don't eat here so much. Not that there's anything WRONG with the place...and not that we don't mind paying top dollar for our meals... Just not sure that this is worth it...from a price to value standpoint.

I've only ever had good memories at melting pot restaurants. The staff has always been welcoming and professional, in my experience. I'm writing this review after a particularly good night with them. We came in 10 minutes before closing. We could tell the staff was busy preparing for it but we were still welcomed in with smiles that looked very genuine. Our waitress was great that night as well. My husband brought me to the restaurant to cheer me up and she helped him accomplish it. :)

My first time at The Melting Pot and I really enjoyed it. This seems to be a place that people either love or hate. I didn't know what to expect. The restaurant was very cute and there was plenty of free parking. I had made a reservation, and we only waited a few minutes for our table. Our server was friendly, and when I told him it was our first visit he told us what to expect and helped us decide what to order. To me, the star of the meal, was the cheese fondue. It was so delicious. Our server came by and brought extra veggies to dip. I was so tempted to get an extra cheese fondue but I didn't. After the fondue we had a salad which was surprisingly good. I didn't think I'd like a salad at a fondue place. We liked our entrees and enjoyed cooking each vegetable. It's funny, I don't usually like cooking at home but it was fun there. As much as it hurt me I didn't order the dessert. I'm on Weight Watchers and I didn't want to do any more damage to my diet. Maybe, when I hit my goal weight, I'll celebrate by trying the chocolate fondue.

The Melting Pot is a unique restaurant and easily one of my favorites. I've been visiting this Melting Pot for a number of years (~10) and generally speaking, a visit to The Melting Pot indicates some kind of special occasion (holidays, birthdays, etc.). I've never had anything other than top notch service here. A meal at The Melting Pot is generally a three course affair (cheese fondue for appetizer, meat or fish for the main course and chocolate fondue for dessert). All said, you're looking at about a two hour commitment and a lot of food so make sure you've got time and bring your appetite. It's pretty difficult to go wrong here, but I do have a few personal recommendations: 1) If you're not sure which cheese fondue to get, try the cheddar cheese fondue which is made with a beer base. 2) The specialty drink at The Melting Pot is the Ying Yang martini. It's a sweet tasting frozen drink and guaranteed home run. 3) For dessert, personal favorites include the flaming turtle or the white chocolate Amaretto.

I went to the Melting Pot for my boyfriends birthday. The service as awesome, however we got dirty silverware, and my drink had fruit flies in it.. they brought out another drink for me and that too had fruit flies... It makes me wonder how they handle their food before it is brought to the table.

Fondue is my ultimate love in the food realm and for me, they do it to perfection! I can't recommend the Boca location enough... It's my absolute favorite place for special events with friends and family (everything like birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine's Day). While it may technically be a chain restaurant, don't let that hold you back from trying it. It doesn't at all feel like one. I'd say the style is a romantic bungalow, with dark mood lighting. Very charming! As for the food, I can only describe it as an ongoing decadent feast... You can mix and change up the menu however you'd like (you could just do drinks and dessert if you choose). Here are some of my recommendations: Cheese course - spinach artichoke, House salad (delicious dressing), Main entree - can't go wrong with ANY choice and they do offer a vegetarian friendly option, Dessert - Chocolate S'mores (you can substitute any other chocolate). I will mention that one gross downside is that you will always leave the restaurant smelling like the broth or oil you use in the cooking. It's not unbearable at all though, so deal with it. I've heard they have events like ladies nights (last Thursday of the month). Check the website for details. Make reservations way ahead of time. It gets booked quickly. Beth's Tip: This is not just dinner, it's an experience. Be prepared to spend at least a couple of hours there.

The wife & I love the Melting Pot and this one in particular. The service is always solid and friendly, keeping in completely with the ambience of the place, but also that you end up cooking your own food. Prices are always solid and the quantity of food will leave even the biggest eaters full. I'm a notorious chain snob, but the Melting Pot is one of my few exceptions. Granted, I do my own cooking there, so that might be part of it :) Highly recommend this place for any special occasion or just for a nice date night with your significant other.

The food & service are both incredible! My fiancee, then boyfriend at the time, went for our 1 yr anniversary, and it is definitely an experience that I would relive over and over again! From the minute you walk in to the end when you're walking out the entire staff greets you w/ smiles and are all professional. Enjoyed very much, and would highly recommend it for anyone willing to splurge a little on any special occasion! : )

Been several times before and always enjoyed the experience. This time I elected to try something different and instead of broth I tried oil per the waiter's recommendation. Oil was not hot enough for the tempura batter to crisp and overal was not great tasting. Also, the waiter acted as if (and I'm sure he had) he had done the same song and dance a thousand times before and seemed genuinely disinterested and lacking any personality. Being that most people there are probably celebrating something this attitude def put a damper on the night.

This was so much fun! For all you gen-x'ers out there, this was a total throwback to the seventies (in a good way). Be careful with the oil fondue - man that is scary hot - but ingredients are fresh and we didn't leave feeling stuffed. Great way to spend an evening with your main squeeze!
Not sure why this place is so popular. The food is just ok and of course you have to cook it yourself. The dipping sauce they give you is fine and of course adds some flavor to what is food cooked in a broth and not all that tasty. The cheese fondue is ok if you like fondue, but the desert is the best part. Do yourself a favor, go someplace for a cooked meal and visit this place for desert afterwards!

Obviously the food is amazing. You've read the reviews. I'm here to talk about Lawrence. If you don't have him as your server, you are missing out on the complete experience. We went on double date night (7/25) and he was a complete joy--funny and knowledgeable. Will gladly make the drive from Wellington to Boca.

We went for a Valentines day dinner and everything was perfect! Shrimp, chicken, various veggies and breads, cheese and other fondues complete with a bottle of wine picture and a frame.

I have been going to the Melting Pot for years and say the same thing every time, "I can't believe it costs so much when you have to cook your own food". But if you can overlook the cost...you are in for a fun time. I am a sucker for cheese so I absolutely love the first course. Dipping the bread in the melty goodness makes my mouth water just thinking about it. The house salad with their house dressing is to die for! I used to do the oil for the cooking method but have since switched to the broth, much healthier and I don't leave smelling like I spent my night frying french fries. My favorite thing about the main course is the mushrooms....and the green goddess you stuff them with. You can't go wrong if you're cooking your own food, everything comes out the way you want it. And the chocolate....holy wow. Only drawback....there is never enough!

Typical Melting Pot. Our server Amanda was great! She was fun and suggested we roast our marshmellows in the fire over the chocolate which no other melting pot has suggested before. The food was great and we had a good time.

If you do fondue, then this is possibly the only restaurant chain in South Florida that does exactly that. Burners on the table keep pots of boiling oil, or cheese, or broth, or chocolate hot and ready to dip in a variety of goodies. As cheese fondue goes, if you've had the real deal in Switzerland, the foremost in hot fromage, you will be disappointed by their "classic" fondue. Some of their other inspirations, including a cheddar/beer combination, and a fiesta/Mexican variety are very good. Most Swiss fondues are oil based, where meat and vegetables are dipped into the hot oil on long forks and cooked at the table. Melting Pot does a broth variation which is tastier and more flavorful. The downside to all of that oil is that the place smells a bit like the inside of a fry cook's vent hood. Sadly ventilation systems to go along with the range tops were not in the design of the restaurant, so the walls are permeated with an oily residue that some might find tasty-smelling, but I just found plain stinky. Price is the other big thing. A night out at Melting Pot is not cheap. It is a big birthday, special date, anniversary kind of place, and dinners can run up to 55/person easily. Usually they have package American plans that include the full meal, including dessert, for the price, but it is still expensive, particularly for what is served. This one is a bit more intimate than some others that I've visited in the chain, but the wood that gives it the chalet feel also is what gives the place its oily ripeness.

This place is amazing! Earl is one of the best waiters we've ever had and the manager is super cool! Great food, great drinks and fun times!

Interesting place I enjoyed their cheese fundue and wide variety of food choices. Fun place!

(5)Joyce H.
(5)M E.
(4)Whitney M.
Amazing time at Melting Pot on Saturday. This was my 2nd time ever to a Melting Pot and it was as fun & delicious as I remember. The service was top notch and the interior of the restaurant is very original. All, in all... a fun Saturday spent with great people! A+++
(5)Robert H.
(4)Jacob Y.
(4)Paul F.
I finally figured out the secret to enjoying the Melting Pot. Get the complete dinner appetizer and dessert. Have multiple things cooking at once. Yummy.
(5)Lisa M.
One of our favorite places to eat. We live locally so love to stop in just for a salad and cheese fondue.
(5)Brooke G.

Great! We made reservations but still had to wait 45 minutes, but the manager treated us to a bottle of wine. Our server Caroline was fantastic. I suggest this place to everyone, it was amazing

(5)Michelle G.
My girlfriends and I love going to the melting pot once a month for ladies night, we've been doing it for over a year now. Whenever we go it has great atmosphere and the staff and managment are always wonderful at providing attentive service and having reserved tables ready within a timely manner of your reservation slot.

This place is wonderful for a date night. I hosted my dinner party there for 4 us. we got tired of making our own food, that's why I took a star away. I had a wonderful time with my girls.

Had dinner last night with a group of people . Saw 2 cockroaches climbing on the wall. Gave the server one of the roaches we killed. They did nothing about it. Will not be going back there again!!

Our server Laurence was just freaking awesome! Food was tasty, as usual.

Excellent service and a lot of fun for a couple. My personal recommendation would be to go exclusively for drinks, the cheese course and dessert. The entrée course was good, but didn't really compare to what comes before and after. It's still worth trying once if you never have. Our waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. Everything tasted fresh. Again, this is a great place for a fun date, as fondue makes dinner a bit more of an activity and serves as a nice change of pace.

Dave is the best waiter ever.

(3)Nichole K.
